Hi, I’m Wemi š
I enjoy bringing ideas to life through code, thoughtful design and practical problem solving.
My experience spans web development, UI/UX, accessibility, content management systems and API integrations.
01 / What I bring
I’m curious about how applications work as a whole. I like understanding how an interface connects to data, how services communicate and how the pieces come together to create something useful.
My background combines development and design. I care about clear interfaces, accessible experiences and code that is easier to understand and maintain. I enjoy investigating problems, connecting systems and turning what I learn into something I can build, use or explain.
02 / Technical background
Languages and frameworks
JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS and SCSS, with experience using React Router, Redux, Bootstrap and Tailwind CSS.
Data and integrations
Experience working with APIs and exposure to Node.js, GraphQL, MongoDB, MySQL, SQLite and Firebase through projects and learning.
Design and accessibility
UI/UX, responsive layouts, accessible interactions and translating designs into working interfaces.
Tools and practices
Git, GitHub, Figma, CMS development, reusable components, debugging and performance testing.
03 / Currently exploring
I’m continuing to grow across application development, with a focus on C#/.NET, backend APIs, SQL and TypeScript. I’m also strengthening my understanding of automated testing, cloud deployment and software architecture as I build more complete applications.
04 / Why I write here
This blog is my working notebook. A collection of things I’ve learned, built, and figured out along the way.
You’ll find explanations, useful commands, project notes and solutions I want to remember. Writing helps me make sense of what I’m learning and gives me something to return to when I need it again.
If those notes help another developer along the way, even better.
05 / Beyond the code
I’m also a mum, writer and content creator. I enjoy family adventures, photography and finding useful stories in everyday experiences..
